Taiko player Hiroyuki Hayashida in Tokyo to debut in Los Angeles

  Professional taiko player Hiroyuki Hayashida in Tokyo will lead his group Zi-Pang to their debut concert in Los Angeles. Five men and two women taiko ensemble will play at the Jazz Bakery, 3233 Helm Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90034, (310) 271-3039 on Tue. Sep. 16 at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $30. They will also appear at Health Fiesta at Marukai market, 1740 Artesia Blvd., Gardena, CA 90248. Show time will be announced later.

 

    Born in Nagasaki prefecture, Hayashida became a member of world renowned taiko group KODO for eight years from 1984. After he became independent player, Hayashida played with Takio Ito & Taiko Band for two years, and with Tokyo Dageki Dan for six years.
