Taiko workshop for youth by professional Taiko players, Aug. 11-15

Renowned taiko group Zendeko will present the Taiko Workshop for the youth from August 11-15 at Zenshuji Temple, 123 South Hewitt Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, (213) 624-8658.

Day classes will take place from 3:00-5:30 p.m. every day, and evening classes will take place from 7:00 –9:30 p.m. every day.

Tuition is $100 for 5 day-classes or 5 evening-classes.

Instructors are members of Zendeko.  And featured instructor is Ringtaro Tateishi  (photo) has been working as a regular taiko performers for seven years at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World, Florida.

Before he came to the U.S., Ringtaro was a member of renowned Ondekoza of Japan for ten years.
